ICT Training

Providing accessibility to ICT (Information and Communication Technology) tools and learning on basics and advanced use of technology for suitable employability in rural India is the core objective of READ India.

READ India has designed specific courses for rural children and youth for learning computers and other ICT tools for enhancing their skills and using these skills for their own growth and development. The basic computer course is the starting engagement leading to advanced courses like In-design; PhotoShop; Tally; Audio-visual editing; Advance Excel and many more, not only to build their skills but also to provide soft skills like personality development, interview skills and life skills for their holistic development. The foremost aspect is making them understand the importance of technology after pandemic.

Special programmes like technology empowering girls, aptly called ‘TechAge Girls’ are also part of the training in partnership with NASSCOM Foundation. The curriculum was designed by IREX, (International Research & Exchanges Board) an international, non-profit organisation that specialises in global education and development.

READ India also provide access to primary and higher class students curriculum through laptops/tablets and computers at various READ Knowledge Centres.

Villagers have access to computers and the internet through READ Knowledge Centres.

Youth are being trained on designing Digital Stories and Audio-Visual Programs, focussing on social issues and broadcasting them using mobile technology and airing them through READ India online radio.
